Tyler Fitzgerald continues his strong run in Triple-A, hitting a home run and a triple down in Las Vegas, while teammate Wade Meckler also kept hitting with a double of his own. Speaking of hot steaks, P.J. Hilson continued his run in August with a triple.

August continued with a number of home runs up and down the system. One new Giants made his organization debut in Sacramento with one. Joey Bart and P.J. Hilson each had home runs in their second straight games. And Victor Bericoto and Ryan Reckley broke home run droughts.

Sacramento’s offense had a huge day, including a 6-run 9th inning to win the game. Three players had home runs, including David Villar’s in the final inning, and Tyler Fitzgerald and Wade Meckler kept getting on base for the Cats. Meanwhile Luis Toribio had another home run in Eugene, Will Wilson had his second in two games, and Diego Velasquez continues his San Jose run.

It’s been a very slow road for slugger Sean Roby to come back from injury, but today he had two more home runs for High-A Eugene, including a walk-off blast. Kyle Harrison had his best Sacramento start in months, and Bryce Eldridge got another extra-base hit in Arizona.

The Giants first round pick is in a groove just a week into his pro career, as he hit his second home run in two games. Meanwhile, Scott Bandura actually made an out in San Jose, where he struck out once, but got a pair of hits, one of which was a double, as he continues to hit well early on.
