Player of the Game: Casey Schmitt: 3-4, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 HR (2)

Well, it’s fair to say that this was Casey’s best game of the season.  But it’s also his second 3-hit game of the season, and he’s now 10-for-21 over his last five games.  Overall, his line is .241/.270/.414.

Player of the Game: Grant McCray: 2-4, 1 R, 3 RBI, 1 HR (1), 1 BB, 1 SB (1)

Grant McCray finally got things going and got his first of something fans expect a lot of…his first steal of the season.  Also his first home run and first multi-hit game.  McCray has traditionally been a slow starter, and it’s been the same this year, but maybe this gets him going.

Low-A: Doubleheader Cancelled

Saturday’s game was listed as postponed, but today’s game has been listed as cancelled, which likely means both games.  Since Visalia is in the South Division, the Giants will not visit Visalia again, and Visalia will make only one visit to San Jose, in July, in the second half.
