AAA: Reno 5, Sacramento 3



Sacramento Notes:
- Willie Calhoun knocked in all of the River Cats run with his first home run with Sacramento, a 9th inning, 3-run shot, while going 1-for-4. It was Calhoun’s sixth home run overall this season, with five home runs in 21 games at Round Rock, and now one in four games at Sacramento.
- Isan Díaz led the team in hits, going 3-for-3 with his sixth double, plus a walk to make a perfect on-base day. It’s Díaz’s second straight 3-hit game with a double, and he’s now batting .299 (20-for-67) for the month of June, with five doubles and eight home runs.
- Heliot Ramos went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. It’s Ramos’ second multi-hit game in a row. He’s raised his Triple-A batting average from .208 to .221 over the two games.
- Raynel Espinal took a hard luck loss, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk in 5.0 innings, while striking out four. It’s Espinel’s first game allowing just one run in his last three starts, and a good bounceback from giving up six runs in his last start.
- Patrick Ruotolo had a solid inning, striking out two in a scoreless inning, just allowing one hit. Ruotolo’s had a tough run of it since moving up to Sacramento, with a 6.85 ERA in 18 games at the level.
- Joey Bart went 0-for-4 with a strikeout, but his defense is on par.
AA: Bowie 12, Richmond 1



Richmond Notes:
- On a weak day for the Squirrels, Sean Roby led the team in hits by going 2-for-4. It’s Roby’s third multi-hit game in the last six games, but he went hitless in the other three. Despite hitting seven home runs in June, he’s gone just 13-for-74 (.176) in the month.
- Ricardo Genovés picked up the only other hit for the Squirrels. In nine games in Double-A, Genovés has gone 10-for-30 with a triple and a home run, plus two walks to nine strikeouts.
- Starter Matt Frisbee gave up a season-high ten runs on seven hits with three walks and three HBPs over 4.1 innings. Frisbee’s previous high in a game was just six runs, and his ERA jumped from 4.04 to 5.13 in this one game.
High-A: Eugene 10, Everett 3



Eugene Notes:
- Carter Aldrete needed just two innings to pick up seven RBI, with a 3-run home run in the first inning and a grand slam in the second inning. It’s Aldrete’s second 2-home run game of the season, giving him 13 on the year, and moving him into the league lead, one ahead of teammate Casey Schmidt.
- Luis Toribio went 1-for-3 with a double, giving him six on the year. Toribio has gone 17-for-73 (.233) in the month of June, with three doubles and eight home runs.
- Hunter Bishop went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, and has three multi-hit games in his last four. Over that span, he’s gone 7-for-15 (.467) with a triple and two home runs, and raised his batting average from .220 to .236.
- Vaun Brown went 2-for-4 with a walk, and lowered his batting average from .545 to .533, because it turns out that his pace was impossible to keep up. Through four games in Eugene, he’s gone 8-for-15 with a double and a home run, with three walks to one strikeout.
- Jake Wong had a solid game, allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits and two walks, with a season-high tying seven strikeouts, matching his last start. On the season, Wong has 55 strikeouts to 22 walks in 50.2 innings.
- Abel Adames worked a season-high four innings in relief, allowing one run on three hits, striking out a season-high seven with no walks. Adames has 28 strikeouts to eight walks in 30.0 innings.
Low-A: Modesto 3, San Jose 1



San Jose Notes:
- Grant McCray went 1-for-4, picking up his 17th double of the season. With June coming to an end, McCray has had a strong month, going 35-for-112 with eight doubles, two triples, and four home runs, with 10 walks to 37 strikeouts, and 11 steals in 14 attempts.
- Aeverson Arteaga hit his team-leading 20th double while going 1-for-5. 11 of his doubles have coming in June, as he’s hit .267 (27-for-101) for the month.
- Garrett Frechette went 1-for-3 with a walk as he extended his hitting streak to 11 games. He’s 20-for-45 (.444) over the stretch with six walks and 14 strikeouts, with five doubles and a home run.
- Starter Nick Sinacola gave up two runs in 4.0 innings, on five hits and a walk, with seven strikeouts. Through five appearances in June, Sinacola has struck out 21 to six walks in 21.2 innings, with his best start (five no-hit innings) coming on his only non-start.
