ACL Giants Orange Notes:

  • This makes it 3 straight games with home runs for Aeverson Arteaga, a shortstop who when signed was thought of more for his defense than offense.  He’s 12-for-30 (.400) across eight games this season, with three doubles and three home runs.
  • Adrian Sugastey picked up another 2-hit game both singles.  He’s 9-for-24 in his first seven games, but only has one extra-base hit, a double.
  • Kwan Adkins got his second home run of the season in his 6th game.  He’s halfway to matching his previous season high of four, which he had in 45 games at Salem-Keizer in 2019.
  • Sonny Vargas struggled in his second start of the season, getting only five outs.  He collected a lot of strikeouts in his first start, eight in five innings, so he has 12 in 7.2 total innings so far this season with just three walks.
