On Thursday, the Giants announced they had signed three more of their 2020 draft picks.

The reported signing bonus for Glowenke was $600, under his $953,100 slot value. Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy reportedly was signed for $25,000, well under his $379,000 slot value, and just $5,000 more than the undrafted free agent signing bonuses. The bonus value for Casey Schmitt has not yet been reported.

The Giants still have three players from the draft class left to sign.  3rd round pick Kyle Harrison reportedly has a $2.5 million deal in place, well above his slot value, and the Giants may be waiting on the other signings to come in underslot to have the money to sign Harrison to that amount.  The Giants are also waiting on Nick Swiney, one of the Giants’ compensation picks after the second round, and R.J. Dabovich, their 4th round pick.

1st round pick Patrick Bailey signed officially on Wednesday, and was placed in the Giants’ 60-Man Player Pool

Casey Schmitt was the Giants’ 2nd round pick out of San Diego State.  He was listed as a 3B when he was drafted, and an IF in the signing announcement.  He also worked in SDSU and the Cape Cod League as a relief pitcher, and the Giants have indicated he may continue to do that as a Giant.  He was the 49th overall pick, and his slot value was $1.51 million.

Jimmy Glowenke, the second of the Giants’ two Compensation Round Picks, announced his signing with a story on Instagram.

A shortstop (and also list as an IF in the signing announcement) from Dallas Baptist, Glowenke may end up moving to second base as a pro.  He was the 68th overall pick, and had a slot value of $953,100.

The Giants 5th round pick, Ryan Murphy, also announced his signing on Instagram.
