Sacramento Notes:

  • Heliot Ramos had his 3rd straight 2-hit game, including his 8th double at Triple-A  Ramos is batting .270/.342/.430 with eight doubles, a triple, and two home runs at the level.
  • Jason Krizan had his lucky 13th game of 3 hits or more this season in his 84th game. 
  • Norwith Gudino had his shortest start since July 31st, bumping his season ERA from 5.06 to 5.79.
  • Kervin Castro has alternated appearance lengths of 1.0 IP and 2.0 IP all August, giving upa hit and a walk but striking out three.  He has 57 strikeouts this season in 42.0 IP, but with 21 walks.

ACL Giants Black Notes:

  • Jared Dupere had his third multi-hit game in a row, and added in his fourth double of the season.  He’s batting .324/.425/.441 so far on the summer
  • Alexander Suarez picked up a double, extending his hitting streak now to seven games.  Over that streak, he’s got five doubles, a triple, and a home run.  He now has 11 doubles in 38 games this summer.
  • Odue Civada made his first start of the season, in his fifth game, and he was hit hard, with seven runs in 2.0 innings.  His ERA jumped from 3.12 to 7.59 in this one game.

ACL Giants Orange Notes:

  • Vaun Brown hit his first double of the season in his 11th game of the summer.  He’s 8-for-31 (.258) so far this summer, with a double and a triple.
  • Aeverson Arteaga was picked up a single for the third consecutive game, but also collected a walk with two strikeouts.  In 160 PA this summer, he’s struck out 44 times to 18 walks.
  • Trevor McDonald allowed three runs for the second straight start, but also struck out a season-high eight strikeouts despite being one of his shorter starts.  In 46.0 IP, he struck out 48 and walked 25.

DSL Giants Black Notes:

  • Mauricio Pierre played his first game since July 29th, and hit his third home run of the season.  He’s batting .310/.356/.619 on the summer.
  • Estanlin Cassiani was 1-for-5, but also stole two bases.  That gives him nine steals on ten attempts this season  All but two of his steals have come in his last five games, with a .400/.467/.550.
  • Jose Rojas made the start, tying a season-high for the third time with five strikeouts.  In 20.0 IP, he’s struck out 18 with 11 walks.

DSL Giants Orange Notes:

  • Brandy Rosario hit his first home run of the summer in his 10th game of the season.
  • Ramon Peralta hit his first home run in his 20th game of the season.  It’s also Peralta’s first extra-base hit of the summer.
  • Miguel Mora had the start for the Orange team, giving up a season-high five runs on five hits and four walks, both season highs as well.
