Sacramento Notes:

  • Wyatt Mathisen hit his fourth home run while with Sacramento, and ninth overall of the season.  He has a .267/.365/.600 batting line in 14 games with Sacramento.
  • Mauricio Dubón picked up a double in his first game back at Sacramento after a weeklong stint back in the Majors.  Overall, he has 11 doubles in Sacramento while batting .326/.411/.457 for them.
  • Heliot Ramos collected multiple hits for the second straight game, giving him five hits in his last ten at-bats.  Ramos is batting .256/.313/.381 in Triple-A since his promotion.
  • Scott Kazmir allowed three runs across six innings, but tied his season-high in strikeouts in an outing (6).  He originally set the season high earlier this month, on 9/2 against Salt Lake.

AA: Erie 3, Richmond 0

Richmond Notes:

  • Vince Fernandez had a 2-hit game in a very quiet day for the Squirrels, his second 2-hit game in the last three.  Fernandez has a batting line .233/.336/.478 on the season.
  • Mitchell Tolman picked up a double, his fourth in Richmond in 22 games.  Tolman has the same batting average (.263) in 22 games at Double-A as he did in 63 games in Triple-A.
  • Aaron Blair allowed a couple of runs in his first start this season without allowing a walk, though he struck out just two batters.  Blair has struck out 23 to 20 walks in 34.1 innings.

High-A: Tri-City 3, Eugene 1

Eugene Notes:

  • Ricardo Genovés picked up his second multi-hit game of his last four games.  In 63 games up at Eugene, Genovés has a .220/.300/.359 batting line.
  • Marco Luciano was 1-for-3 as he tries to finish 2021 strong.  He’s 5-for-20 (.25) over his last four games with a double and a triple, and three walks to six strikeouts.
  • Kai-Wei Teng had his second straight double-digit strikeout day, his fifth such game of the season.  Teng now has 142 strikeouts to 53 walks in 95.2 innings.

Low-A: Fresno 7, San Jose 6 (10 Innings)

San Jose Notes:

  • Jimmy Glowenke hit his 25th double and 2nd triple of the season.  On the year, his batting line is .251/.367/.429.
  • Grant McCray got his first triple in San Jose through 21 games, and second overall that he has in 42 games between Low-A and the ACL.  McCray hit .309/.400/.455 in 21 games in the ACL, and has hit .260/.295/.397 in the same number of games with San Jose.
  • Patrick Bailey added two more hits to his impressive September.  He’s 18-for-46 (.391) on the month with six doubles and two home runs.
  • Carson Ragsdale struggled in a start against the team he’ll face in the playoffs, striking out five with three walks and seven hits in 5.0 IP.  He has 167 strikeouts to 45 walks in 113.2 total innings.

ACL: ACL Giants Black 9, ACL Brewers Blue 2

ACL Giants Black Notes:

  • Rayner Santana hit a home run in his second straight game, giving him four on the season.  Santana has four home runs with five doubles in 29 games this summer.
  • Jared Dupere now has doubles in back-to-back games.  He has a batting line of .276/.364/.437 on the season.
  • Victor Bericoto has only gotten into five games this season, but he got his first multi-hit game this summer.
  • Matt Mikulski made his fourth appearance of the season, with his first appearance going more than a single inning.  In 5.0 innings, he has five strikeouts, three walks, and four hits.

ACL Giants Orange Notes:

  • George Bell hit his first home run since August 3rd, his fourth of the season.  Bell has six doubles and four home runs in 47 games on the summer.
  • With two hits, Vaun Brown has continued a strong September.  He’s 13-for-29 (.448) with four doubles and two triples in eight games this month.
  • Nomar Medina went five scoreless innings in his latest outing as he’s on a strong string of game.  Over his last three games, he’s allowed one run on 12 hits and one walk in 14.0 innings, with eight strikeouts.

DSL Giants Black Notes:

  • Yeison Lemos hit his third double of September, and sixth of the season.  He’s batting .229/.313/.398 on the summer.
  • Onil Perez picked up a pair of hits, his 4th mutli-hit game of his last five.  He’s 10-for-15 (.667) with a pair of doubles and a home run over those last five games.
  • Ismael Mota gave up the worst game of his season in his first start, with five runs around two home runs.  Mota had given up just one home run in 8.2 total innings before this game this summer.

  • Samuel Reyes got one of the team’s only hits as he continues his hot September, as he’s batting .379/.444/.586 in the month.
  • Rolfi Jimenez had another rough game, allowing three runs, after allowing five runs (two earned) in his last two starts.  His ERA has jumped from 0.81 to 1.73 over those last two games.
