Top Sacramento Performances:
- First baseman Yoshi Tsutsugo went 1-for-4 with a double. In three games since joining Sacramento, he’s gone 2-for-9 (.222) with the double, and now five walks to three strikeouts. He had hit .249 in his previous PCL stint with Round Rock.
- Third baseman Armando Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Alvarez has 15 doubles, a triple, and 18 walks over 73 games this season, with 31 walks to 47 strikeouts. He’s hitting .313/.382/.590.
- Left fielder Wade Meckler went 0-for-3 with a walk, and two strikeouts, and one stolen base. That gives Meckler 15 walks to 19 strikeouts over 22 games in Triple-A, and now has six stolen bases at Triple-A without being caught. Overall this season at all levels, he has 12 steals on 16 attempts. He’s hitting .333/.440/.480 as a River Cat.
- It was a rough one for Kai-Wei Teng, who gave up six runs in 5.1 innings, off of six hits and four walks with six strikeouts. That raises his Sacramento ERA to 4.22, with 96 strikeouts to 48 walks in 79.0 innings.
