Five home runs on the day for Sacramento as they blew out Las Vegas, but the biggest thing might be who left the game early.  Meanwhile, Arteaga has a 4-hit game, and pitcher Trevor McDonald and Dylan Cumming continue their great seasons.

Top Sacramento Performances:

  • Bryce Johnson had a big day, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a walk, and a stolen base.  Johnson now has eight home runs in 52 Triple-A games, and one big league home runs in 30 games there.  His previous season high was nine, which he hit in 2021 over 100 games, all at Sacramento.  He’s hitting .293/.369/.490 at Sacramento.
  • Armando Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a home run of his own.  That’s his 15th of the season, just three short of his previous season-high of 18 that he had in 2022 in Scranton Wilkes-Barre.  Alvarez is hitting .309/.363/.582 after 62 games in Sacramento.
  • Catcher Ricardo Genovés, who did not start the game, went 1-for-4 with a home run and two strikeouts.  Genovés has just six home runs this season, in 73 games played this season.  He’s hitting .228/.321/.355, with eleven doubles and the six home runs.
  • Joey Bart started this game, but was lifted in the middle of the bottom of the 3rd, after two runners got on.  This game was played in Las Vegas, and news from the big league game in Chicago was that Patrick Bailey had suffered a possible concussion, which likely is the reason Bart was pulled, in case he is needed to be called up.
