  • For the second straight day, the Squirrels and the Rumble Ponies were postponed.  This time, both COVID-19 health and safety protocols and inclement weather from tropical storm Ida were listed as reasons.

Eugene Notes:

  • Ricardo Genovés picked up a double to start the new month.  It was his ninth of the season, and just his second in his last 14 games.
  • Logan Wyatt had the only multi-hit game for the Emeralds.  He hit his 8th double of the season in Eugene, with four coming after his comeback from the ACL on August 10th.
  • Blake Rivera made his second appearance in Eugene, giving up six hits in 3.0 innings, with a walk and a hit batter.  In 5.0 innings, he’s allowed nine hits, leading to seven runs, five earned.

San Jose Notes:

  • Luis Matos opened September with his 29th double of the season.  He’s got a .308/.342/.476 batting line at this point in the season.
  • Jimmy Glowenke got his 24th double of the season, and add a walk.  In 360 plate appearances, he has 89 strikeouts to 39 walks.
  • Wil Jensen had his shortest start since April, going just 4.0 innings.  Jensen has 108 strikeouts to 24 walks in 101.2 innings.
