Sacramento Notes:

  • Alex Dickerson is continuing his rehab, now in its 8th game, and he had his first 2-hit game of it.  He’s 3-for-7 over the last two with a double.  Overall, he’s 6-for-29 (.207) over this rehab.
  • Joey Bart hit a single, giving him hit in his last five games.  He’s 6-for-18 (.333) over the streak with a pair of doubles, and three walks to five strikeouts.
  • Braden Bishop pushed his hitting streak out to 11 games, dating back to September 4th.  He’s 15-for-36 with three doubles and two home runs over that span.
  • A single error really helped derail Sean Hjelle’s start, as a 2-out error loaded the bases, and a pair of hits let four unearned runs come home.  Hjelle continues to give up hits, with seven more allowed in six innings.  He has a .322 batting average allowed in Triple-A this season.

High-A & Low-A: Schedule Day Off before Playoffs

San Jose Notes:

  • Kyle Harrison won the Low-A West ERA title at age 20, highlighting an excellent season in San Jose.
  • San Jose led all of minor league baseball, by a lot, in strikeouts.

Eugene Notes:

  • San Jose led all of minor league baseball in strikeouts, but Eugene was third in all of the minors.
  • Finally, a correction from yesterday’s Quick-Notes: All five games of the High-A West Championship Series will be played in Spokane, with no games in Eugene.  Why?  Because of the University of Oregon, and a lease agreement that’s still made for short-season ball.  Another reason why the stadium situation in Eugene is one of the most tenuous and in need of change in all of the minors.
