With all the A-Ball teams off, the rookie leagues got a moment to shine, and the DSL’s Carlos Gutierrez made the most of it, getting on base everyone one of his six times at the plate. In the ACL, Samir Chires led a shutout by the ACL Giants staff.

In a game filled with home runs, Marco Luciano finally got that first Triple-A home run. But the surprising Sacramento team leader in home runs hit one as well. Meanwhile Sean Roby is looking great on his rehab trail in Eugene, and starter Nick Sinacola leads a shutout effort.

Heliot Ramos had the big hit for Sacramento on Saturday, with a walk-off home run in the 9th and his first since coming off the All-Star Break. Jimmy Glowenke’s 11th inning home run was part of that team’s winning rally. And Brett Auerbach stole three bases, proving his legs are fine after yesterday’s spectacular catch.

Marco Luciano is three games into his Triple-A stint, and got his first extra base hits (yes, hits, plural) today. Kai-Wei Teng keeps striking out batters at Triple-A. Ismael Munguia made his return to Richmond. And check out the play by Brett Auerbach in Eugene, it might be the defensive play of the year!

Heliot Ramos has turned his season around as he’s come back from injury, as he got two extra-base hits among three hits today in Sacramento. Meanwhile, Wade Meckler just keeps getting on base, and Reggie Crawford bounced back in Eugene in his second start there.
