Four home runs highlighted a huge Eugene blowout, including Aeverson Arteaga and the rehabbing Sean Roby, while Hayden Birdsong has a great start in High-A. Meanwhile, Manuel Mercedes went five shutout innings for San Jose.

Tuesday’s action feature quite a debut for an 18-year old Cuban, having a heck of a game in the DSL. Sean Roby’s rehab continued with two home runs, and Tyler Fitzgerald popped one out as well. Richmond also hit a bunch. Quite a day for power across the farm.

The Giants began signing their draft picks, which I’m thankful for because all the A-Ball teams were off and the DSL games were suspended. But in the ACL, two different hitters had two home runs in their respective games, and one of them didn’t even start his game!

It was an ugly day across the farm, but there were some bright spots. Onil Perez had a huge game, as the catcher knocked out four hits and stole four bases on five attempts. Grant McCray had a strong game he hasn’t had many of lately. And two pitchers made their High-A debuts!

It wasn’t a great day in the system, but one jolt came from Tyler Fitzgerald, hitting a home run against rehabbing pitcher Noah Syndergaard during the latter’s rehab. Meanwhile, Kai-Wei Teng worked out of the bullpen, Vaun Brown continued to get key hits, and Diego Velasquez hit a huge home run in San Jose.
