It’s been a very slow road for slugger Sean Roby to come back from injury, but today he had two more home runs for High-A Eugene, including a walk-off blast.  Kyle Harrison had his best Sacramento start in months, and Bryce Eldridge got another extra-base hit in Arizona.

  • Kyle Harrison was back at it in Sacramento with arguably his best Triple-A start in months, going 3.1 innings, allowing only one unearned run on one hit, no walks, and striking out four.  After 19 starts in Sacramento, Harrison has a 4.52 ERA, with 98 strikeouts to 48 walks in 61.2 innings.
  • Center fielder Tyler Fitzgerald went 1-for-4 with his 14th home run of the season.  Fitzgerald also has 14 doubles and two riples, with 78 strikeouts to 25 walks in 70 games at Sacramento, and is batting .273/.332/.478.

  • First baseman Armando Alvarez was 1-for-4 with a home run of his own.  That’s his ninth home run in Sacramento in 42 games, along with ten doubles and a triple.  He’s hitting .322/.377/.594.
  • Left fielder Wade Meckler was 1-for-4 with his first Triple-A double.  Meckler is 5-for-17 (.294) over eight games, with a double and a home run, and seven walks to four strikeouts.

  • Shortstop Will Wilson got his first home run on his trip back to Richmond, going 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts.  Wilson is just 2-for-14 (.143) after three games, but one hit is a home run.
  • Designated hitter Logan Wyatt was the only Squirrel with multiple hits, going 2-foe-3 with a pair of singles.  After 38 games in Double-A, Wyatt is batting .227/.326/.378 with six doubles and four home runs.
  • Starting pitcher John Michael Bertrand gave up just one run in 5.0 innings, off of three hits , a walk, and a wild pitch, while striking out four.  After five games at Double-A, Bertrand has a 3.52 ERA with 18 strikeouts to eight walks in 23.0 innings.
  • Reliever Tyler Myrick went a single inning, giving up only one hit, and striking out two.  That 14th round pick has a 0.73 ERA after eight appearances in Double-A, with 14 strikeouts to two walks in 12.1 innings of work.

  • Sean Roby slugged the Emeralds to a win, going 2-for-4 with two home runs and knocking in all four Eugene runs on the day, including a walkoff home run in the 9th.  That gives him eight home runs in 22 games at High-A as he’s been working his way back, with 27 strikeouts to nine walks.
  • Right fielder Carter Howell also had a pair of hits, but both singles.  Howell is batting .248/.336/.367 in Oregon after 54 games, with 11 doubles, four triples, and two home runs.
  • Starting pitcher Nick Sinacola went 4.2 innings, giving up two runs, one earned, on one hit and two walks, with three strikeouts.  Sinacola has a 4.52 ERA on the seasons, with 97 strikeouts to 24 walks in 85.2 innings.
  • 2022 first round pick Reggie Crawford made his first hitting appearance in High-A after having arrived back in July 16th, and his first hitting appearance at all since June 14th.  Crawford struck out in his only plate appearance, and was pinch-hit for.  Crawford had a total of 16 at-bats in Low-A, going 4-for-16 (.250), with two doubles and a home run.

  • SS Diego Velasquez led the team in hitting, going 3-for-5 with all singles.  It’s Velasquez’s ninth 3-hit game of the season.  He’s hitting .316/.398/.452 on the season, with 25 doubles, one triple, and seven home runs.
  • Left fielder 7th rounder Scott Bandura was 2-for-4 on the day.  Three games into his San Jose stint, he’s hitting .700, as he’s gone 7-for-10 with one double and one home run, with two walks to one strikeout.
  • DH 3rd rounder Cole Foster was 2-for-5 on the day, with two singles.  After three games in San Jose, he’s 2-for-13 (.154) with six strikeouts to no walks.
  • Reliever Esmerlin Vinicio had the best day on the mound, striking out six in 3.1 shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk.  Vinicio’s ERA dropped to 4.13, and he now has 58 strikeouts to 33 walks in 56.2 innings of work.
